VAT Exemption

VAT EXEMPTION - IMPORTANT - Please read the statement below to ensure that you or the person who will be using the product qualifies for VAT exemption.  If after reading it you don't believe you qualify then please select the "I am NOT VAT exempt".

HMRC offers exemption from paying VAT on the supply of a social alarm service provided the person who will be using the alarm service qualifies as chronically sick or disabled according to the following criteria:

A person is ‘chronically sick or disabled’ if they are a person with a physical or mental impairment which has a long-term and substantial adverse effect on their ability to carry out everyday activities, or, suffer a condition which the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes.

Chronically sick or disabled does not include an elderly person who is not disabled or chronically sick or any person who is only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as with a broken limb.

At the time of installation, our engineer will ask you to complete a declaration form to this effect or if you are installing the alarm yourself, a declaration form will be sent out to you.
